Shaykh Abu Adnan gives us a brief explanation about the importance of the Quran and how we should use it to seek guidance and find answers to our questions.
Ever since its revelation 1400 years ago, the Qur’an has been a book of guidance and inspiration, a reference point, and a rich source of social and moral dynamism for hundreds of millions of people throughout the world who believe it to be immutable word of God.
The Quran is there to read, understand it’s instructions and implement, and not to decorate or hang on the rear view mirror in the car, or have it all nicely decorated and wrapped in silk and hung up in the living room wall.
The Ummah that was supposed to lead the world with the best ever book revealed, with no modifications since 1400 years, is seeking guidance today in every other thing EXCEPT Al-Qur’an. An Ummah that has the best ever “User manual” given to them by God for taking guidance in this world and towards the journey to Akhirah, has put the same Quran aside and crying for help. Today we have fallen into Fitan, and extremely desperate to come out of it that can be seen in many Muslim countries. Know that It is just because we have abandoned the teachings and implementation of Qur’an in our lives. We need to return back to the Quran on a daily basis not just once a week for Jumuah.
