It would not be incorrect to say that today this label ‘Wahhabi” or “Wahhabism” is the most commonly used yet mis-perceived label used by both Muslims and non-Muslims alike to tag someone who try to enjoin good and forbid evil especially in the matters of Shirk, Kufr or Bid’ah. One frequently hears this label tagged by laymen in Islam to the ones who follow or try to follow Quran and Sunnah, as an attempt to belittle them for quenching their thirst for practicing religious innovation.
